What could knock us for a loop with our economy?

Perhaps a tariff on golf balls or bubblegum maybe.

With wages rising up and up, it's hard to comprehend

prosperity may suddenly come to a crashing end.

But economics teaches us that no good thing can last;

just when credit cards are paid, there comes another blast.

Detroit runs out of rubber or the California vines

stop producing grapes to make delicious vintage wines.

Canada debases its beloved coin, the Loon --

or we run out of rocket fuel when flying to the moon.

There are so many reasons why the boom times might soon cease;

so I will sink my money in a sure thing, like goose grease . . .

until my hard heart once again became soft.

The Primaries that made them great have vanished in the blue. No longer office seekers and their minions run around, spending lots of money to be one day White House crowned. The candidates instead are hooked up to slick streaming chats with their rich supporters who are loyal Democrats. Republicans, I'm sad to say, will not make any splash in those states because incumbents don't spend any cash.
