Harold Bloom said . . .

"We read . . . in quest of a mind more original than our own."
Harold Bloom

The mind of man cannot contain
the least scintilla to make us vain.
Upon an anthill we recline,
while universes round us shine.
The pinnacle of wisdom here
is really nothing but small beer.
Original, and so unflawed,
is the mind of Christ and God.
