James 1:17
The Father of lights sends his brightness abroad
as gifts of the spirit to rich and unshod;
to noble and ragged, to free and repressed,
that all may partake of His gift and be blessed.
Nothing can shake His decrees, or His hand
from spreading the light to the furthermost land.
May I bear your light in my countenance, Lord,
and never conceal it like some treasure hoard!
