Partisan the Earth may be,
full of loud diversity;
but below this seething throng
there is only one good song.
One song only that all sing:
Christ the Lord is our true King.
When arrives the quiet day,
when all pride is stripped away,
when the world lays chastened so --
then Jesus Christ we all will know.
