Pride and Craftiness

. . .  and that he might pull down, by the word of God, all the pride and craftiness and all the contentions which were among his people . . . 
Alma 4:19

Nothing pulls down man's facade

quicker than the word of God.

Pride cannot withstand the speech

of those who minister and preach.

The crafty find their schemes undone

when offered mercy from the Son.

And contention my heart leaves

when the scriptures it receives.

Give me doctrine, sound and pure,

and all things I may yet endure!
