And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall give thee rest, from thy sorrow, and from thy fear . . .

 

Give me rest, O Lord -- the kind

that only thou canst loose or bind.

Not the luxury and ease

that worldly folk are wild to seize;

but the peace thy Gospel breeds

while doing good and kindly deeds.
