the ads for burgers always show
meat with juiciness aglow.
french fries plump and crispy, too;
milk shakes thicker than most glue.
so I see on TV screens
as I sit home with pork & beans.
Covid moved in years ago
and can't be budged with a back hoe.
It's in our blood and in our lungs
and in our minds and on our tongues.
We cannot take it to the dump --
it's really just like Donald Trump!
