Beware the plaudits of the world,
of scheming men who dare
to flatter those they would exploit
with nothing but hot air.
Tis flummery that often sends
us on a wild goose chase,
looking for an easy fix
or for a cozy place.
Seek for power to do good,
to serve your fellow man.
And shun all snow jobs constantly,
which are the devil's plan.
