Words of idle, hollow boast
do not have the Holy Ghost.
Trite and shameless is the speech
of those who think that they can preach
with swelling words, all multiplied,
when their sick souls are filled with pride.
The great words spoke by prophets true
are generous, and noble too.
O may my mouth take Sabbath rest
until with inspiration blessed!
