A record written long ago
by a man who said "I know"
today has spread across the earth
and given hope a grand rebirth.

He didn't say "I think" or pose
as scholar, poet, or logos;
He recorded what he saw
in it's beauty and strife raw.

What record do I make today;
do faith and courage I display?
Help me engrave my heart of stone:
Salvation comes from Christ alone!
